Clear answers about AC and solar installation, maintenance and repair in Sonora.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a mini-split installation take?

A standard installation is usually finished the same day, depending on access and piping distance.

What size mini-split do I need?

It depends on area, sun exposure and use. We size it during the visit or from photos on WhatsApp.

Do you sell the unit or only install it?

Both: we supply the equipment or install the unit you already bought.

How often should a mini-split be serviced?

In Sonora's climate, at least once a year before summer; every 3 to 6 months for heavy or commercial use.

Does maintenance lower the electric bill?

A clean unit works less hard, which usually improves efficiency.

Do you service commercial equipment?

Yes: mini-splits, package units, rooftop, central systems and refrigeration.

Do you handle night emergencies?

Yes, we offer 24-hour emergency service; message us on WhatsApp.

Will you quote before repairing?

Yes, we diagnose first and explain the scope before starting.

Do you repair any brand?

We work with common mini-split, package and central system brands.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes, we schedule periodic visits based on site operations.

Do you work in industrial buildings?

Yes, we serve retail, offices and industrial facilities.

Can you combine HVAC with solar?

Yes, and it's common: air conditioning is the largest daytime load.

How many panels does my home need?

It depends on the kWh on your bill. Use our calculator or send us a photo of the bill.

Do panels work in Sonora's heat?

Yes. Sonora has some of Mexico's highest solar radiation; heat slightly lowers efficiency, which is accounted for in the design.

Can solar power my mini-split?

Yes, the system offsets the home's total consumption, including air conditioning.

Is solar worth it for a business?

Businesses with daytime usage, especially AC and refrigeration, usually benefit most.

What do you need to quote?

Recent CFE bills and photos or location of the roof.

Do you install on metal roofs?

Yes, we use racking suited for metal, concrete or ground mounts.

How often should solar panels be cleaned?

In dusty areas like Sonora we recommend checking every 3 to 6 months.

Do you service other installers' systems?

Yes, we diagnose and maintain existing systems.

My system produces less, what should I do?

Send us a screenshot of your monitoring or bill; it may be dirt, the inverter or a connection.

What is a bidirectional meter?

A meter that records energy drawn from and sent to the grid, so it can be credited on your bill.

Can I install panels without interconnection?

You can, but excess energy won't be credited on your bill.

Do you handle the paperwork?

Yes, it's part of the installation.

Is this exact?

It's an estimate. Orientation, shade and roof type change it; we confirm during the visit.

Must I cover 100% of my use?

Not necessarily; many homes aim to leave the high-consumption DAC tariff.

Can I expand later?

Yes, if the inverter and space allow it.

Does an inverter need different maintenance?

Maintenance is similar; the control board needs more specialized diagnosis.

Does an inverter work with solar?

Yes, and the combination cuts costs further.

What capacity do I need?

It depends on the space; we size it during the visit.

Can I clean the filter myself?

Yes, with water and let it dry; internal cleaning should be done by a technician.

What if I skip maintenance?

Efficiency drops, consumption rises and costly failures become likelier.

How long does service take?

Usually 1 to 2 hours per residential unit.

How long is the payback?

It varies with use and tariff; we estimate it from your bill.

Will I still pay CFE?

Usually yes, a minimum charge and any uncovered energy.

What about cloudy days?

Output drops, but sizing uses the annual average.
